In India, EWS stands for Economically Weaker Section , which is a classification created by the Indian government to identify individuals and families who belong to the economically weaker section of society. This classification is based on income and other factors, and those who fall into this category may be eligible for various government schemes and benefits. An EWS certificate is a document that certifies an individual as belonging to the EWS category. To obtain an EWS certificate in India, the applicant must meet certain eligibility criteria :- 1. the applicant's family income must be less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum. 2. must not own more than 5 acres of agricultural land 3. house bigger than 1000 sq. ft. in a notified municipal area or 200 sq. ft. in a non-notified municipal area. 4. the applicant must not own a residential plot of more than 100 sq. yards Once the applicant meets these criteria, they can apply for an EWS certificate at their local government office or onlin
